Plan your year-end retreat with conference facilities, accommodation, catering and team bonding spaces at Ogere Resort in Ogun State.
As the final quarter of the year gets underway, many organisations are beginning to plan their Q4 corporate retreats, year-end reviews and annual general meetings (AGMs).
What starts as a proposed date soon becomes a series of decisions. How many people will attend? Will the programme run for one or two days? Who needs accommodation? Will the agenda include presentations, strategy sessions or team bonding activities?
Each decision affects the next. A longer programme may require an overnight stay, while a workshop may need a different room layout from a formal presentation. Planning these details early helps bring everything together into a well-coordinated event.
At Ogere Resort, our conference facilities, accommodation, dining options and indoor and outdoor team bonding spaces provide a convenient setting for corporate retreats in Ogun State. With the key arrangements considered together, your team can focus on the purpose of the gathering.
1. Start with Your Retreat Objectives
Before choosing a venue, define what your organisation wants to achieve.
A departmental review may require presentations and group discussions. A leadership retreat may need smaller breakout sessions, while an AGM calls for a formal setup that accommodates presentations and proceedings.
Your objectives will help determine the room layout, equipment, catering and activities required.
When enquiring about conference facilities at Ogere Resort, share how you intend to use the space. Will delegates need tables for note-taking, room for group exercises or a theatre-style arrangement for presentations? This information helps us discuss a suitable setup for your programme.
2. Choose Conference Facilities That Fit Your Group
Room capacity is important, but the layout matters just as much. Your delegates should be comfortable, able to participate and positioned to engage with the programme.
Ogere Resort’s auditorium offers different seating configurations to accommodate various event formats:
These capacities vary by layout, so consider your programme before making a decision.
During a site inspection, discuss the seating arrangement, audiovisual equipment, connectivity and technical support your event may require. Confirm the final setup and inclusions for your chosen room and dates.

3. Plan Accommodation and Catering Alongside the Agenda
A successful corporate retreat involves more than the hours spent in the conference room. Arrival times, meal breaks, room allocations and evening arrangements all contribute to the experience.
With accommodation and dining available at Ogere Resort, your organisation can coordinate meetings, meals and overnight stays within one location. This is particularly useful for residential retreats, early-morning sessions and programmes spread across multiple days.
Our serene garden surroundings also offer a change of setting during breaks, giving delegates an opportunity to step outside between sessions.
To simplify planning, prepare an initial rooming list and distinguish between total meeting attendees and overnight guests. Include the number of nights required, dietary preferences and any accessibility needs in your enquiry.
4. Include Team Bonding in the Programme
Team bonding can complement a corporate retreat by giving colleagues time to interact outside formal meetings.
If team bonding activities are part of your objectives, include them when preparing the agenda rather than leaving them until the end. This helps protect the time allocated for shared activities if earlier sessions run longer than expected.
Ogere Resort’s indoor and outdoor team bonding spaces offer options for incorporating group activities into your retreat. The appropriate arrangement will depend on your group size, schedule and preferred level of participation.
Whether you are planning a short activity after a strategy session or a dedicated afternoon of team bonding, coordinate the activity with meal times and rest periods to keep the programme manageable.
5. Start Planning Your Q4 Retreat Early
Starting your arrangements early gives your organisation time to review the facilities, request a proposal, complete internal approvals and consider alternative dates.
Your initial enquiry does not need to include every detail. Begin with the essentials:
If your agenda is still being developed, indicate what has been confirmed and what remains open for discussion.
These details will help guide the conversation around your event requirements and the availability of suitable facilities.
